The N Family of Uganda

Our ministry in cross-cultural missions is built on Genesis 12–15, we have been reflecting on how faith continues to shape all that we do. We began in 2025 with nothing but faith, and God has provided for our needs in remarkable ways.

P, one of the young individuals we train and disciple, has served with us for almost six years, and the transformation in his life has been evident. What began with different beliefs and practices has grown into strong biblical convictions and a clear desire to live for God rather than self. He is now pursuing further studies with a heart to serve the unreached communities. It is also encouraging to see new young people join us each year with a passion for the nations, and to witness their growth through mentoring and field experience.

AMF support has brought much-needed stability for both personal and ministry needs, especially during seasons of financial uncertainty. This has strengthened our confidence to continue building on the foundation of faith God has laid in this calling.

Our continued motivation is anchored in God’s faithfulness. He who calls us will sustain us through every season as we remain obedient to His purpose.

The G & A Family

We thank God for His faithfulness and the opportunity to serve through Global Link Africa and as Director of Mt. Gerizim School. My journey into ministry began at a young age. In Senior 2, during evening prayers, whenever we sang “I will be somewhere, working for my Lord,” I would be moved to tears, imagining myself serving God. Today, I serve among children, families, and South Sudanese refugees, witnessing God transform lives through discipleship.

One testimony involves a young boy in our school living with a disability who also serves as the school Prime Minister. After experiencing rejection before joining Mt. Gerizim School, he encountered Christ’s love through daily devotions, fellowships, and discipleship. During a parents’ gathering, he boldly preached from Exodus about the bronze snake and connected it to Jesus Christ, making an altar call where several children gave their lives to Christ. This remains a powerful testimony of transformation.

AMF support has played a key role in sustaining this ministry. Before receiving support, I was under significant financial pressure, balancing additional work alongside responsibilities at Global Link Africa, Mt. Gerizim School, and my family. Through AMF support, I found stability, was able to leave the extra job, regain focus, and fully commit to ministry. This has strengthened discipleship programs and enabled consistent engagement with learners, staff, parents, and refugees.

THE O FAMILY- KARAMOJA IN UGANDA

From the beginning, our desire has been to proclaim the gospel among communities that have little or no access to it. As we serve in Karamoja, we seek not only to reach people ourselves but also to mobilize others to join in this mission. The need remains great, and the harvest is ready.

One of our greatest encouragements has been witnessing the gradual change in the spiritual climate of Karamoja. Communities that were once hostile to both the message and the messengers of the gospel are now increasingly open. Doors that were previously closed have begun to open.

We are encouraged by stories like that of A.L. a leader in one of the newly planted churches. A.L. never had the opportunity to attend school, yet he has learned to read the Bible in his local language. Today, he faithfully shares Scripture with his community and leads weekly fellowship gatherings for believers.

Seeing A.L. grow in confidence and faith gives us hope. He represents what we long to see across Karamoja, local believers taking ownership of the gospel and shepherding their own communities.

A.A. – Somalis in Kisenyi

I’ve served among Somalis for the last six years in Kisenyi-Kampala. Since 2020 I struggled financially and could barely meet even my most basic needs like rent, food, and clothing. I was always on the edge financially and barely crossing through each month up until last year’s quarter when I started receiving AMF funding. I was constantly stressed, discouraged and anxious as I didn’t know where the money for paying bills would come from or how I would meet my other personal needs.

When I started receiving AMF funding in last year’s quarter, I was so relieved of the extreme financial pressure, stress and anxiety I had been facing for the last few years in the mission field because it enabled me to pay my monthly rent on time and meet some of my basic needs too. I also served more joyfully and was greatly encouraged in my work because my personal needs were being catered for through the funding.

It has been very hard and it’s still a real struggle to raise financial support locally because most people I talk to are more readily willing to partner with me in prayers but are still very reluctant to commit to supporting me financially because they struggle with the idea of giving specifically towards my personal needs and I don’t yet have any other source of income I can rely on to meet my needs. My local church has also experienced a prolonged period of unstable leadership and annual change of clergies for the past three years which has made it so hard to ask the leadership to consider supporting me financially as a church although I’ve been given opportunities to share with the church what I’m doing in the mission field. It’s therefore important for me to continue receiving AMF funding because the funding will help me to focus on the mission work without financial stress and improve the quality and effectiveness of the service I’m doing among the people I serve. The funding will also give me financial stability and opportunities for spiritual formation through the partnership even as I trust God for individual local support and my local church to come alongside and partner with me financially.

The M family – Arabs and Swahilis, Kenyan Coast

Greetings! We thank God for this far as a family as we serve in Kenyan Coast among Arabs and Swahilis. AMF funding came in at a time we were trusting God to be more impactful to our community yet we felt strained by personal and ministry financial needs especially due to our budget deficit. The funding has been a blessing and greatly helped us plan more effectively, meet our personal needs relieving us from worrying and greatly rejuvenated our focus and effectiveness in ministry. We praise God that since October last year, God has been giving us new opportunities to engage the community. M got an opportunity to teach a group of Muslim women English, a platform she is engaged to date. She is also part of a bible study with 2 ladies from our team engaging a lady who is a seeker. In addition, she is facilitating mental health classes with a teammate to a group of Muslim women from our community. We praise the Lord for these doors, an answer to prayer! The funding has also helped us support our parents and siblings especially in times when it was needed most, which is an answered prayer. We are very grateful for the AMF. May the Lord bless every person involved.
